Seriously, I really like this piece.
The background "Jupiter" seems a bit too monotone, but otherwise this is right up there with (and similar to) Christian Lassen's work [link] and John Wyland's work. [link]
Their style seems to be a growing genre. Here's a link to the Wyland Gallery's "family of artists", people who produce similar work and sell some of their work through Wyland Galleries in Hawaii: [link]
I'd say... if this is the style that defines you, GO for it. And maybe make this painting "even more so"-- continue in the same direction, and add more detail and flair.
